The Laboratory Preschool is part of the Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) Department within the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) at the University of Delaware.
The Laboratory Preschool prepares university students to be highly skilled practitioners, leaders and researchers who are committed to integrating theory, research and practice in the development, implementation and evaluation of inclusive programs and policies that enhance the development of all children and their families, promote children’s right to play, and prepare children to contribute to a democratic society within a global context.
Each year, the UD Laboratory Preschool provides pre-service education experiences annually for more than 200 UD students preparing to enter fields of education, human services, psychology, social work, medicine and more. See a list of coursework students complete at the Laboratory Preschool.
