3’s/2’s Week of March 7
This week we had an amazing time exploring dinosaurs! Our dramatic play was Doctor’s Office so we were able to dive deeper into learning and understanding new concepts about our bodies for another week! The children loved opening band-aids and putting them on their friends’ injuries. In our block area the children developed their socio-dramatic play skills while taking on the role of different dinosaurs in our dinosaur habitat. As we learned about dinosaurs, we also learned more about volcanoes by building our own, painting it, and watching it erupt! We were able make predictions about what would happen when our volcano erupted after watching a video of a real volcanic eruption. This week we also planted milkweed seeds to help our butterfly friends. We went out to the natural wetlands and watched the seeds float away in the March wind. We had so much fun and cannot wait to see what is in store next week!
