3’s/2’s February 26
This week we had a great time exploring our new dramatic play, Doctor’s Office! We used reflex hammers, blood pressure cuffs, and even opened and applied band-aids to our friends in need of medical assistance. Our friends enjoyed dressing up as doctors in scrubs and surgical masks. While interacting with our friends, we developed our language skills and developed connections to the real world. We also extended our knowledge of previous experiences at the doctor’s office.
This week, we also worked on our fine motor skills of cutting and using the pincer grasp for pencils and markers. During group time we learned about the concept of graphing in mathematics. We read Pete the Cat I love my White Shoes and graphed which color shoes were our favorite. We also did yoga and learned new positions such as downward dog and child’s pose. This week was filled with fun activities and we cannot wait to see what next week has in store!
